Auditors taking look at city finances

Trooper charged with manslaughter

An Arkansas State Police Trooper has been placed on administrative leave while he faces a charge of manslaughter. Andrew Rhew, 30, of Manila, was charged last week in connection with the death last year of Vickie Freemyer. Freemyer, 52, of Blytheville, was killed when her vehicle pulled into the path of Rhew's marked patrol car on Fleeman Road in Manila...

Jones may have officially withdrawn from the Blytheville mayoral race this morning, but because ballots for the Nov. 2 election have already been set, Jones will still be listed on the ballot for the position of mayor, and can still receive votes. It is, therefore, still a possibility for Jones to win the election...
