NAACP wants potential gym to be named after black educator

The president of the local chapter of the NAACP has vowed the organization will boycott an effort by the Blytheville School District to construct a new gymnasium if the district does not agree to name the new facility after a black educator. James Welspom, president of the Mississippi County NAACP, presented a written statement to the CN that appeared to be part media release and part flyer to generate interest in following Welspom's lead. ...
