Blytheville city attorney Chris Brown penned a strongly-worded letter to attorney Jim Harris, who is representing Blytheville firemen in a class action lawsuit filed Friday afternoon in Mississippi County Circuit Court regarding overtime pay. In the Nov. 7 letter, Brown noted examples of Blytheville firemen not taking absentee forms seriously, attaching copies of the “BFD Absentee Report for Off Duty Call Back Request Notification” forms and calling them “quite compelling.”...

My longtime friends know I have fought senior citizenship with a vengeance. I moved middle age status up to 60 and then about two years later I decided it was not working. After that, I have done my best to quietly tiptoe into the golden years. Police make multiple arrests; seize 62 pounds of meth

Blytheville police, along with federal agents and several law enforcement agencies, made multiple arrests and seized drugs during a bust at a reported upholstery business at the corner of Ash Street and South Division, Friday evening, according to Blytheville Police Chief Ross Thompson. The chief noted police seized approximately 22 pounds of marijuana, 2.4 pounds of suspected cocaine, and 62 pounds of meth. The names of those arrested have not been released...
